I have Multiple Sclerosis. My diagnosis came after 6 years of "watch and wait". It's official and it's okay. I have an amazing physician group, family and friends who have done nothing but love and support me throughout all of life's little challenges. It really makes life much easier and happier with all of you. Thank you.
What is MS?
"Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body" (source).
The disease can affect everyone differently. Some people affected have real severe debilitating forms while others can have mild, less intrusive forms. Most common are vision issues, numbness, tingling, fatigue, memory loss, cognitive issues and weakness. It's often "hidden" and not something you can see from the outside. Medical advancements have been amazing. New meds and treatments are being announced regularly. Fortunately, I was able to start treatment with an oral medication (DMD-disease modifying drug) which was not available when my journey began in 2010. #feelingblessed.
I want to announce that from here forward and to start a total of 5% of purchases on this website will be donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Thanks for supporting us and helping to find the cure.
If you would like to make a separate gift directly to the MS Society please click here and thank you.
